Since 1959, in the summer, every Sunday at 12 o’clock – thousands of Warsaw residents and visitors from around the world listen to Chopin performed by the best pianists.
Piano is brought into the park at 10.30 a.m. o’clock. For an hour is always tuned, is checked his intonation and operation of all mechanisms. To perform is used a shorter piano, so-called cabinet piano (with a length of 1.8 meters), because a standard concert piano (2.5 meters) would not fit on the pedestal of the monument.

In 2014, Polish scientists opened the crypt in the church of the Holy Cross to check condition of the heart of the composer. The jar with a spirit pickle in which floats the organ was in perfect condition and has not been depressurized for over 160 years. Scientists have confirmed a change of heart caused by tuberculosis and heart failure. Unfortunately, it failed to investigate it by CT scan or take samples for genetic research.
