12.00 a.m. Oswiecim. Auschwitz Museum: Auschwitz Museum I. Camp Gate with Arbeit Macht Frei inscription. Blocks 4 (doom exhibition – general information, model of gas chamber and crematorium, cans of Zyklon B). Block 5 (material evidence of crimes exhibition – human hair, suitcases, dentures, glasses, shoes). Block 6 (everyday life of prisoner – daily schedule, rations). Block 7 (living conditions of prisoners – toilets, washrooms, rooms with bunk beds). Block 11 (Death Block, cells in penalty bunker, cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe, penal standing, Wall of Death). Parade ground, gallows and place of death of Rudolf Hoess, crematorium I. Museum of Auschwitz II – Birkenau. Camp Gate with administration buildings of SS. Place of selection. Railway platform. 9.00 a.m. Zakopane: Cable car ride to Kasprowy Wierch (approx. 2,000 meters above sea level). Enjoying the views of the mountains (Tatra Mountains). Walk around the summit.
12.00 a.m. Zakopane: Walk through the main street of Zakopane where you can find all the regional delicacies and buy souvenirs. For dinner we recommend lamb, roast mutton and of course the famous mountain soup – kwaśnica (sauerkraut with bacon, ribs, garlic and mushrooms). And to drink – a highlander tea (tea with a glass of cherry brandy or pure spirit).
5.00 p.m. Zakopane – Krakow (110 km / 69 miles)
7.00 p.m. Krakow. Accommodation in a hotel chosen by the Ordering Party. Free time.
8.00 a.m. Krakow – Wieliczka Salt Mine (15 km / 9 miles)
9.00 a.m. Wieliczka Salt Mine: Visiting the Mine takes place only in groups of about 35 persons. Start of the trip is going down by 380 stairs to a depth of 135 meters below ground (happily, return is already by mining lift). The tour has 3 kilometers of corridors. On the trail is more than 20 chambers with the famous chapel of St. Kinga (built entirely of salt), Michałowice Chamber, Weimar Chamber. The temperature underground is approx. 15 C / 59 F regardless of temperature on the surface.
12.30 a.m. Wieliczka – Krakow (15 km / 9 miles)
