Kruszyniany. Muslim cemetery - Mizar.
It exists already 300 years. At the oldest tombstones from the seventeenth century - the time faded all inscriptions.
First read inscriptions come from 1704.
According to tradition, a larger stone was placed at the head, lower at the foot of the deceased.
In old times, the most popular ceremony in the village was an Islamic funeral, where according to tradition handed out candy. The ceremony was attended then by all the residents.
If not from a desire to honor the memory of the deceased, then certainly because of gluttony.
In Poland live approx. 4.5 thousand of Muslims.
Close to 99% of them are Tatars and their descendants, living here from 600 years.
Half of the mosques in Poland is in Kruszyniany and Bohoniki and the other three are in Warsaw and Gdańsk.
Before World War II called - village of tri-Sunday.
The reason is that on Friday Muslims prayed there.
On Saturday Jews and on Sunday - Christians.

Bohoniki Mosque was built in the nineteenth century, and as well as the mosque in neighboring Kruszyniany, is painted green.
The Muslim community in Bohoniki - now numbering 20 people, although not always strictly comply with the obligations of a Muslim (five times praying or Ramadan) is a wholly complied with the requirement of the pilgrimage to Mecca - using the travel fund by the King of Saudi Arabia.

2 hectares, the largest existing in Poland mizar was founded in the eighteenth century. The oldest preserved tombstone with a clear inscription dates from 1786.
Most of the inscriptions from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries is in Arabic and Russian, because of the suppression on the use of Polish under Russian rule.
All graves are facing east and their right edges are facing the right side in the direction of Mecca - because it is believed that the soul leaves the body from the right side.
